Taste of Tioga reschedules to promote local food in the aftermath of the 2011 flood.

Originally scheduled to take place in September the Taste of Tioga was postponed due to the incredible flood damage from Tropical Storm Lee. Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tioga County invites you to join local farms, restaurants and businesses as they highlight the rebuilding processes and celebrate the reopening of our local restaurants at the 10^th Annual Taste of Tioga at the Owego Treadway Inn on November 3rd, 5:30-8:00 pm.

Taste of Tioga highlights the connection between local farms and restaurants by showcasing the high quality foods grown and prepared right in your own backyard. Guests sample a variety of gourmet style dishes including soups, salads, main courses and desserts.

We invite you to join with us in supporting our community and your local extension office programing. Tickets are $30 per person and include free wine tasting with the purchase of your dinner.

Tickets are available at our office at 56 Main St, in Owego, NY or at the door. We will honor the September tickets. Shake hands with your neighbor and celebrate the strength of our community in the face of a natural disaster.

The 10^th Annual Taste of Tioga, which was scheduled to take place on Friday, September 9th, 2011 at the Owego Treadway Inn has been postponed as a result of the flooding that has occurred in the Southern-Tier.

You can now purchase tickets at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tioga County. We are located in the Tioga County Office building at 56 Main St. Owego, NY 13827 right next to the DMV. You may also purchase them online here or at the door.
